As long as I’m alive, cinema will be alive because full, in-depth feature stories that I can dive deeply into are my favorite thing—onstage and on screen. If things turn into ONLY short films and reels, I’ll throw every piece of tech I own into the trash. Because what’s next, people won’t read books anymore? We already have enough trouble with that. The shorter we allow our attention spans to become, the dumber we will all be and the further into the abyss society will fall. I love stories, I live for them, and if there are only a few of us alive who like long form films, then so be it.

I find it very interesting that they have blatantly said that it is purely for dopamine hits and not storytelling/entertainment. I miss being transported in the theatre...
